The construction of President Joko Widodo's retirement home began in June 2024 in the strategic area of Jalan Adi Sucipto, Blulukan Village, Colomadu District, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java. This residential facility is a mandate of Law Number 7 of 1978 concerning the Financial/Administrative Rights of the President and Vice President and Former Presidents and Vice Presidents of the Republic of Indonesia.
The location of the retirement home is considered special because it is on the border of Solo-Karanganyar with adequate transportation access. The Ministry of State Secretariat has coordinated with the Karanganyar PUPR Service for tree felling permits to facilitate mobility during the construction process.
The construction process continues to be accelerated with workers' activities appearing busy at various points of the project location. The construction of the upper floor foundation and the installation of walls on the ground floor are the main focus of the workers at this time. The mobility of vehicles transporting building materials is seen busy around the construction project location.
