Thousands of people escorted the former Nahdlatul Ulama chairman to his final resting place.

Former Nahdlatul Ulama chairman and prominent cleric Hasyim Muzadi passed away on Thursday morning at the age of 72.
He died at his residence in the Al-Hikam Islamic Boarding School Malang, East Java after being treated for heart illness for five days.
Hasyim Muzadi was burried yesterday afternoon at Al-Hikam Islamic Boarding School Depok, West Java. Thousands of Nadhlatul Ulama members and public figures paid their respects to the late cleric.
