When buying or moving a refrigerator to a new place, you often lift it in a tilted position. This can happen because of the careless transportation process or because of the need to adjust the position when going through doors or stairs. However, did you know that this tilted position can affect the performance of the refrigerator ?
It turns out that a refrigerator that is tilted too often can cause several problems that you may not be aware of. This was once explained by YouTube user Mas Wintion. Through one of the videos he uploaded, he admitted that tilting the refrigerator, for various purposes, can have a bad impact.
As reported by BrilioFood from YouTube Mas Wintion on Thursday (3/10), most refrigerators certainly have compressors or coolers. When the refrigerator is tilted, the oil that lubricates the entire compressor can come out little by little. As a result, the oil can enter the evaporator.
In the video, YouTube user Mas Wintion shows the inside of the evaporator which is full of various components, one of which is a spring. If the refrigerator is laid down and the evaporator is tilted, this spring has the potential to come loose. As a result, other components inside the evaporator will be loose and wobbly. "That's why we shouldn't position it too tilted. If it's only 25% tilted, there's no problem," explained YouTube Mas Wintion.
