Gilang's wife, Shandy Purnamasari, is currently known to be pregnant with her third child. Not wanting to miss the happy moment, Gilang gave his wife a surprise in the form of a gender reveal event. Through his Instagram page, Gilang was seen decorating the room in his house with pink and blue balloons.
When the balloons on the ceiling were pulled, a blue balloon came out, meaning a boy. This added to the happiness of Gilang and Shandy who had long wanted a boy. After previously, they were blessed with 2 daughters, Felicia and Amber.
Knowing that their third child is a boy, Gilang and Shandy fulfilled their vow by spending Rp 1 billion. The couple who are familiarly called 'Crazy Rich Malang' said they would send Quran hafiz, Koran teachers and the underprivileged on umrah.
"We made a vow when we were pregnant, so we asked Allah to give us a baby according to our wishes. So our vow was that we would spend IDR 1 billion for the Umrah pilgrimage for the underprivileged, Quran memorizers and Quran teachers in remote areas, mosque caretakers, religious leaders, grave diggers," said Gilang and Shandy.
