Jakarta deputy governor-elect Sandiaga Uno fulfilled Corruption Eradication Commission summon for two major corruption cases today.

Sandiaga wasquestioned as a witness in an investigation over Hambalang Sport Centre graft case and medical equipment procurement at Udayana University, involving the former president director of PT Duta Graha Indah Dudung Purwadi as a suspect.

KPK Spokesman Febri Diansyah said that the summon was due to Sandiaga's background as the former Commissioner of PT Duta Graha Indah.

"We're still unable to unfold what the investigators are trying to find out tommorow (today). Related to the witness' presence, we need some information to complete the investigation process," said Febri on Monday.

Furthermore, KPK strongly denied the assumption if the investigation motive was political. The case has been going on for years, yet Sandiaga's statements are only required by investigators now.

"I think it's not [political]. Many witnesses have been summoned before him. Whether the witnesses background is from political party or a candidate for a regional head, that is something that we exclude," said Febri.

On December 2015, Dudung has been named suspect by KPK in Hambalang Sport Centre graft case which caused Rp 120 billion losses. Dudung was also arrested as a suspect related to medical equipment procurement at Udayana University, on March 2017.

The case also involves the Head of Public Administration and Finance Bureau of Udayana University, Made Meregawa and Marisi from private sector.
