Monday morning started with breaking news about mass arrests over a gay party in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta. While the investigation about the arrests is still ongoing, here are several things we know so far about the wild night.

1. Police arrested 141 men from The Wild One Party.

North Jakarta Police raided Atlantis Gym and Sauna on Sunday evening at around 8.30 p.m.. They arrested 141 mostly naked men from the building. Police also confiscated condoms, the gyms operation license, tips, beds, event fliers and CCTV recordings.

2. Atlantis Gym and Sauna is actually quite well-known.

Atlantis is located in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta. The building is just like ordinary house-shop buildings, but without information of whats going on inside. Atlantis promotes itself as a fitness center, and men-only sauna but apparently at night, festivities took over the gym.

Before the news about the mass arrest broke, Atlantis already had a name among the gay community. A simple Google search will lead you to its usual activities, from discounts to no towel events on weekends.

3. The Wild One wasnt the first party at Atlantis

In a flyer found at the location, it was stated that Atlantis also conducted two other parties this month: one called Sweet Sensation on May 7 and one called Bukkake on May 14. The Wild One held on May 21 was the third party this month.

4. Like almost all party, there was a cover charge.

Parties at Atlantis was like almost all parties held in night clubs. People come because they wanted to have fun and there was an entrance fee. The entrance fee was Rp 185,000 per person, said Adj. Sr. Commr. Nasriadi of North Jakarta Police to reporters.

5. No law for homosexuality, but some men can still be charged

Indonesia has no law against homosexuality, but it doesnt mean the arrested men can just walk away from the arrest. Ten men who allegedly worked at Atlantis as owner, receptionists, sex workers, dancers and security might be charged with 2008 Law on Pornography. Meanwhile, the other 131 men will be questioned as witnesses.
