Tom Hardy, the Bane of the DC's "Dark Knight Rises", has just signed with Sonyto star in the Ruben Fleischer's "Venom".

Having a similar physicality to the comic's depiction of Venom symbiote human host, Eddie Brock, Hardy himself is said to be a fan of Venom character, making it's unsurprising for him to playanother superhero-based role.

"Venom" is the second movie for Sony's Marvel Universe after "Spider-Man: Homecoming" and has been in development as the groundwork to expand the Spiderman universe.

According to Sony, Fleischer appointment to direct the movie is expected to bring dark and humor altogether like what's showcased in his "Zombieland".

Venom has been one of Marvel's top villain, appearing alongside Spider-Man, Deadpool, Ironman and more in the comic books. The character made its movie debut in Sam Raimi's "Spiderman 3", played by Topher Grace.

The movie will be released worldwide on October 5, 2018
