Children TV Show Shaun The Sheep, aired by MNC TV, received a warning from Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) following the scene of a man and woman kissing on their lips that was aired on July 21 at 9:02 a.m.

KPI sees it as inappropriate since the target audiences are kids. The warning was delivered by KPI Vice Chairman Sujarwanto Rahmat Arifin on Monday.

As cited from, S. Rahmat Arifin said the show has violated KPI’s broadcasting behavior guidelines year 2012 article 14 and 16 as well as KPI’s broadcasting program standard year 2012 Article 15 Paragraph 1 and Article 18 Letter G.

“Based on the violation, KPI gives administrative sanction in the form of a written warning," he said.

Through the warning letter, MNC TV has to do internal evaluation directly and to not repeat the same mistake on any of their program.

“We ask MNC TV to make P3 and SPS KPI Year 2012 as their main reference in broadcasting their programs," he added.
