President Joko Widodo addressed the public and government workers today during the national government annual audit report announcement event in Bogor Palace, West Java, and he had a special message: stop talking too much.

Jokowi said that as the servants of the country, ministers, government officials and also the general public should not waste so much time to fight each other and debate unimportant things.

We talk more than we work, we debate more than we work, we insult more than we work, we hold unimportant protest more than we work, he said.

We spend so much time insulting each other, blaming each other, that we forget to build the nation. The golden opportunity (to build Indonesia) is in front of us right now, he continued, referring to Indonesias latest status of higher investment grade.

We have to use this chance. Indonesia is left far behind Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, he continued.

I ask you all, stop thinking negatively. Lets ask others to think positive things so we can move forward, work together for the country. Dont let our energy go to waste for such things Ive mentioned before.
