Before you know it, you find yourself mindlessly snacking, because your meals aren't keeping you as full as you'd like. And there your weight-loss program has failed once again.

Don’t worry, we’ve all failed more than once. Just give it a try again! The key is to find a sound solution to keep our next attempt from failing and you obviously need something to keep you from ransacking the pantry. All you need are appetite-suppressing foods that keep you full all the time!

Okay, it may sound too good to be true, but hey, those foods really exist! And most of them are surprisingly taste good. Find them on this list, as featured on PopSugar, before you rush to the nearby supermarket:

1. Nuts

If you need a good reason to reach for some nuts, this one will do: nuts don't just contain healthy fats to help keep your cholesterol level low. Those delicious snacks are also good sources of appetite-killing fiber, which digests slowly so it stays in your stomach much longer than other carbohydrates. A quarter-cup of almonds, for example, contains four grams of fiber. Besides almonds, you have a wide range of choice, including peanuts, cashews, hazelnuts, macadamias and walnuts.

2. Oatmeal

Have a bowl of oatmeal as breakfast to stay fuller longer. It’s because half a cup of rolled oats contains five grams of fiber. Besides that, oatmeal can help increase your body's levels of the appetite-regulating hormone cholecystokinin, which may help control hunger in some people. Have your oatmeal with crunched almond, sliced banana or some blueberries for extra taste.

3. Apple

It’s an ideal fruit for your morning or afternoon snack for its great source of fiber to keep you feeling full, as well as its high water content that helps fill your belly. Apples also prevent blood sugar spikes that spur hunger, thanks in part to the pectin it contains. This fruit should be part of your weight-loss plan.

4. Avocado

It may sound absurd that the fat-loaded avocado is actually a great diet food. But in fact, avocados are full of healthy monounsaturated fats, which help keep you full and won’t make you fatter. Have a slice of avocado on your toast or make an avocado puree for a breakfast, and that'll keep you full until lunch.

5. Edamame

This delicious Japanese soybean is surely your best friend during your weight-loss program. Half a cup of edamame is only 95 calories but contains over eight grams of protein, making the beans a guilty-free snack between meals.
