Leaking gas can cause fires. Fix leaks with this simple tool.

Brilio.net - One of the causes of fire is a gas leak. A gas leak means that the gas flow to the regulator hose is not optimal, so that the gas evaporates into the room. Some signs of a gas leak are the smell of sulfur and a hissing sound. To reduce the risk of fire, immediately remove the regulator from the gas cylinder. Then, cover the mouth of the gas cylinder with a rubber band. This way, the gas will not evaporate again.

However, due to the elastic and thin texture of the rubber, gas patches often do not last long. As a result, gas can leak again after being patched with rubber bands.

There is another method to overcome LPG gas leaks. You can follow the method shared by YouTube user EDUKASI JABAN MEDIA.

At the beginning of the video, he shows the condition of his leaking LPG gas. It can be seen when he drips water on the mouth of the gas cylinder.

"If there are bubbles, it indicates a leak, usually this is because the rubber in the gas doesn't fit properly," he said, quoted by BrilioFood from YouTube EDUKASI JABAN MEDIA on Friday (13/9).

Well, he chose to rely on a screwdriver. The method is to press the mouth of the gas cylinder using the blunt end of the screwdriver.

"You don't need to press too long or too deep, just press for a moment," he said further.

After being pressed for a while, the rubber on the gas mouth was tightly attached again. This was proven when he dripped water back into the gas mouth.

"There are no more bubbles, that means the gas rubber is back to its original state so it's safe to use," he said.
