Brilio.net - Cooking activities often make the kitchen dirty, from leftover food, oil splashes, to spilled spices. To avoid dirt and unpleasant odors, it is important to clean the kitchen immediately after cooking.
Most people use rags to clean the kitchen, because rags can absorb dirt such as oil and spilled liquids, so the kitchen is clean again.
However, kitchen towels get dirty very quickly, especially because of the oil stains that stick to them, making them feel greasy and smell bad. In this condition, kitchen towels should be washed immediately.
Many people wash their kitchen towels with regular detergent. Even after soaking, the towels often still feel oily and look dirty and smell.
Scrubbing a soaked rag vigorously to remove dirt can cause the rag to become thin and tear easily when used.
To overcome this, there is a trick shared by a netizen named Meirina Indah. She explains the steps to wash kitchen towels, using not only detergent, but also two other kitchen ingredients.
Curious about what ingredients are used?
As reported by BrilioFood from YouTube Meirina Indah on Monday (9/9), the kitchen ingredients used are table vinegar and baking soda. The method is to rinse the cloth first under running water.

After that, put the cloth in the basin and make sure the entire surface is submerged in water.
"Soak for 20 minutes," said Meirina.

The use of baking soda and vinegar is believed to be effective in removing stubborn stains on cloths. After soaking for 20 minutes, the cloth does not need to be rubbed or brushed again, just rinse with clean water.

Dry the clean cloth in the sun. Once dry, the cloth is ready to be reused.
