Brilio.net - In the kitchen, geckos are one of the pests that often cause problems. Their presence is often annoying because their droppings are spread in various places, such as the stove area, dining area, and other parts of the kitchen. These gecko droppings have the potential to pollute the kitchen and its surroundings.
Catching a gecko is not an easy task for many people. In addition to being disgusting, geckos are agile creatures and difficult to catch by hand. If left alone, geckos can breed and increasingly dominate the kitchen and home area.
To overcome this problem, some people choose to use traps to catch lizards. These traps can be purchased at supermarkets or nearby stores. However, besides buying, there is another way that can be done, namely making your own traps using kitchen ingredients.
A YouTube user with an account named ABChannel once shared a simple way to make a gecko trap.
As reported by BrilioFood from YouTube ABChannel on Wednesday (4/12), he only relies on two kitchen ingredients, namely oil and granulated sugar. In addition to these kitchen ingredients, the tools used are also quite easy to get. There are used plastic bottles, tissues, and scissors.
First, cut the top of the used bottle using scissors. Then fold one sheet of tissue into four folds. After that, cut each fold into a small square size.
"If you don't have tissue, you can use cotton," said YouTube ABChannel.

Next, put the cut tissue into the bottle. Then add 1 tbsp of granulated sugar. According to YouTube user ABChannel, granulated sugar is used to lure the lizard into the bottle.

After that, pour enough water into the bottle. Then, smear the inside of the bottle with cooking oil. This is done so that the lizard that has entered cannot get out of the bottle again.
Then take the top of the bottle that has been cut. Then open the lid and smear the outside with cooking oil. After that, put it in the bottle in an upside down position.

Well, this lizard trap is ready to use. Place this trap in an area where many lizards pass by. After being left overnight, the trap that has been set really managed to catch a lot of lizards, you know. Very effective and practical, right?
