Brilio.net - Young coconut water is often used as a mixture of ice or drunk directly because of its freshness that can quench thirst. The natural sweetness of coconut water also makes it popular with many people. However, coconut water has a limited shelf life because it is easily rotten or stale. Signs of rotten coconut water include carbonation (gas formation), a pungent odor, and a change in taste to sour. If these signs appear, the coconut water is not suitable for consumption. Therefore, it is important to know how to store coconut water properly.
Many people choose to store it in the freezer to make it last longer, but there is actually another trick that can be used without a freezer. This trick was shared by a YouTube netizen with the account Al-Mubarok Pamekasan. In one of his uploads, the YouTube user explained a special trick to preserve young coconut water that has just been taken from the fruit.
"How to store coconut water so that it lasts and can be used in the next few days, this is a practical method that can be done by anyone," explained YouTube Al-Mubarok Pamekasan as quoted by BrilioFood on Tuesday (17/12).
So first, prepare fresh young coconut water. Make sure the young coconut water no longer contains coconut meat (its contents). After that, pour the coconut water into a closed container while filtering it. This aims to separate the dirt or remaining coconut meat that is still contained in it.

Now, the coconut water that has been moved in this container can then be placed directly in the freezer for an hour. At this stage, make sure the container is closed but not too tightly. Just enough so that the top is closed. That way the coconut water can cool quickly.

After one hour, move the coconut water to the bottom of the refrigerator (chiller). Compared to when the coconut water is directly placed in the chiller, this method is apparently more effective in making the coconut water more durable and long-lasting. This certainly makes young coconut water safer to consume for days.
