Brilio.net - Stainless steel kitchenware, such as pans, peelers, mixing bowls, and pots, are known to be durable. However, stainless steel pans often have rainbow-hued stains. These stains are not due to food residue, but rather due to the chrome layer that protects against rust and makes the pan more durable.
This chrome layer is not dangerous, but it can be annoying when cooking. If you want to remove the rainbow stains, you can try the method shared by the TikTok account @emilyandbear_id. In one of her uploads, she shows an effective way to clean rainbow stains on stainless steel pans.
"Does your pan have rainbow stains? Do you want to make it look like new again? You can do it, come on, follow this method, my friend," he said as reported by BrilioFood from TikTok @emilyandbear_id on Saturday (11/23).

Removing rainbow stains on pans cannot be done using ordinary dishwashing soap, it needs additional ingredients to wash it, namely citric acid. The first thing you do is heat water using the pan to be cleaned, then add one spoon of citric acid to it. Wait until it boils, then turn off the stove and throw away the boiled water.

Once all the boiled water has been drained, then wash the stainless steel pan with dish soap as usual. Rub the entire surface of the pan using a sponge. Make sure all parts of the pan are exposed to dish soap. Once it is clean, you can immediately rinse the stainless steel pan.
