Brilio.net - Avocado is a highly nutritious fruit that is often consumed as a snack, dessert mix, or diet menu. Rich in vitamins C, E, K, B6, riboflavin, and folic acid, avocado acts as an anti-inflammatory, helping the body stay healthy.
However, avocados can easily become rotten and mushy, even when stored in the refrigerator, especially if they are ripe. Within a few days, avocados can turn black and rotten. To prevent this, it is important to know how to store them properly.
With the right method, ripe avocados can last up to 6 months, remaining green and fresh. The YouTube channel Olahan Dapur Yummy shares two special ways to store avocados so they don't rot easily for months.
As reported by BrilioFood from YouTube Olahan Dapur Yummy on Sunday (12/1), the first way is to save only the flesh. To do this, cut the avocado and scoop out the flesh. Collect the avocado flesh in a large, clean container.

Next, coat the avocado flesh with lime or lemon juice. Then stir using a spoon until evenly distributed. The vitamin C content in lime can fight the enzyme that causes avocado pieces to turn black.

Once done, put the avocado flesh or pieces into a plastic container. Make sure the plastic is completely airtight. Then put the packaged avocado pieces into the freezer. That way, the avocado flesh or pieces will stay fresh and not black for up to 6 months.
For the second method, ripe avocados can be stored intact. But if you want to store them intact, you should choose avocados that are just ripe (not very ripe). Overripe avocados will usually rot quickly, less than 6 months.

Next, wrap each avocado in plastic. Then tie the plastic tightly. You can use rubber or tape so that the inside of the plastic is completely airtight.

After that, put the avocado in an airtight container. This container can be a jar with a tight lid to avoid contamination from the outside. If so, store the avocado in the freezer. That way, the avocado will stay green and fresh for a long time.
How? Easy enough, right? If you have already bought a ripe avocado, you can apply this method to store it. Guaranteed, the quality of the avocado will be maintained and the taste will still be delicious.
