Brilio.net/en - We can get little sceptical over the sheer volume of sequels and remakes appearing in Hollywood nowadays. Yet, will we remain cynical when one of those sequels is a follow-up to one of the Disney's best and most alluring animated movie of recent years? Yes, it is truly pleasing thing to hear that the animation studio is going back to the world of video games, working on the production of Wreck-it Ralph 2, due for release in March of 2018.

Wreck-it Ralph director Rich Moore and screenwriter Phil Johnston took to Facebook Live on the Disney page to announce that the sequel is in production, on Thursday.

The Wreck-it Ralph star John C. Reilly also was also on hand to reveal the project, "We are announcing Wreck-It Ralph? But I already announced that by accident" said the actor jokingly since he's mentioned the sequel numerous times in the press over last few years.

Moore and Johnston will co-write and co-direct the sequel. They also have worked together before on another Walt Disney's hits, Zootopia.

While Reilly and Sarah Silverman (Vanellope von Schweetz) are confirmed to return, there's no further news on movie's other cast, including Jane Lynch, Jack McBrayer and Alan Tudyk. Instead, the studio has released concept art which suggest that this time around, Ralph and Vanellope will jump into the world of the internet.

This time, Ralphs wrecking wreaks havoc on the Webas only he can do. Characters we loved in the first film are back and we are ecstatic to be working with themand the actors who voice themonce again. said Moore when interviewed by Collider.

Johnston explained that the world of internet is an excellent place for Ralph and Vanellope to roam. "The scope and scale are so vast and the possibilities for comedy are endless" he added.

Moore also said that they are trying to find the balance between the retro games, modern games and things on the internet as well. His statement surely has people wondering about how they will incorporate the different genres in the movie.

With all good news comes a little bad, and in this case the news of the release has pushed back the release of Jack and the Beanstalk movie Gigantic to November 2018.
