Brilio.net/en - Launched thirty years ago by American event organiser Larry Harvey, the popularity of the Burning Man festival keeps on increasing every year. There is no other festival like Burning Man: everyone that has lived it agrees, you have to go to experience it. The concept of this festival is to create a village (a huge village) for a week in which everyone can let go of things.
Not only about the party, music and dance aspect, Burning Man claims to be an art and performance festival, where mutual aid and togetherness are the watchwords. Each participant has to respect the 10 principles. Its not the line-up that matters there, its all about the atmosphere and the feeling of experiencing something different.
It is one of the most anticipated festival of the year. The burners as the event-enthusiastic call themselves, included 68.000 festival goers for party for 3 days in the middle of the Black Rock desert in Nevada.
The only problem, beside the high cost of participation (380 $ for the basic package), is the difficulty of access for people not living in North America. Because it is especially favoured by Europeans, the organizer of the festival will launch this year a brand new edition Where the sheep sleep that will take place in Europe.
Amsterdam is reputed to be one of the hottest party cities in Europe and it was thus logical to settle the version of this crazy event in the capital of the Netherlands. During 3 days, burners from all over the world will dance to the beats of some of the greatest artists of the moment.
The European version will take place from July 29th until the 31st and the original version from August 28th until September 5th. Both events are sold out but it will soon be possible to get some for next year!
