Marissa's younger sister, Shahnaz Haque, revealed that her sister had conveyed her wish to die suddenly to her husband, Ikang Fawzi, several times. Marissa often said that dying suddenly would be better than having to get sick first.
For him, sudden death will not burden the people left behind. Both in terms of high hospital costs and the psychological burden caused.
"He always said, 'If you die suddenly, it would be nice. It won't be a burden for those who want to leave and it won't be a burden for those left behind.' He kept saying that and it happened," said Shahnaz Haque as quoted by brilio.net from TikTok @asriamelya3, Thursday (3/10).

"Maybe many people want to die like Marissa, without difficulty, without pain," continued Shahnaz.
Shahnaz also shared the convenience her family received during Marissa's burial process. Although the family had initially prepared a burial certificate elsewhere, Ikang insisted that Marissa's wish was to be buried in Tanah Kusir.
"Tanah Kusir is usually full, but today it was easy to get his grave. This is what he wanted," said Shahnaz.
