Brilio.net - Not many people know about the news about Chicco Jerikho who took a brief hiatus from the world of entertainment. It is known that this actor, who was born in Jakarta on July 3 1984, suffered from sepsis and was treated in the HCU (High Care Unit) for three days at a hospital last September.
This condition almost made Chicco give up, as he stated when invited to Daniel Mananta's podcast. It was revealed that at that time his health condition suddenly declined drastically for no reason. After that, he carried out his usual activities, namely shooting a film.

"I feel fine. I still wake up in the morning, then I'm filming. After filming I felt like I suddenly had a strange illness, I was rushed to the hospital, my blood pressure was checked at 60/40. I can't feel my legs. My legs are really cold ," said Chicco Jerikho on Daniel Mananta's YouTube channel, quoted by brilio.net , Monday (15/4).
Immediately taken to the hospital by his sister-in-law and manager, Chicco went into the HCU. When his condition worsened, Chicco was given equipment at the hospital to make his condition better. Remembering that his heart rate was dropping and his breathing was short of breath.
"I was in the HCU at that time, using a heart pacemaker because my heart rate was very low at that time. And I had to be supported by a device so that I could still survive, for three days I was under observation. That's what I felt was wrong. I was having difficulty breathing," " he continued.
Initially, doctors suspected that Chicco Jerikho was infected with Covid-19, and was hit by a cytokine storm. However, that assumption was wrong. Bearing in mind, in February Chicco experienced Covid-19 and according to the doctor this period was long enough to say he was infected with Covid-19 again.
"At first I felt like it was Covid, it turned out the PCR results were negative several times. What is this disease, why am I having trouble breathing? Some of the diseases the doctors thought were cytokines, but the distance was too far, I was a Covid survivor too, right before, in February," he explained.
After going through an examination, it turned out that Putri Marino's husband was identified as having sepsis, a condition that occurs due to an uncontrolled reaction from the immune system which causes disruption to the body's organs. Luckily, the 39 year old actor was able to get through tough times.
"Finally the doctor said he had sepsis, an infection, and it was very dangerous. Once I recovered, moved from the HCU room, the doctor said that some people who experience things like this are actually lucky to be able to survive given the opportunity even though their condition is really bad," said Chicco Jerikho.
The soap opera star Bayu Cinta Luna remembers when she was weak and helpless. Coincidentally, at that time his wife and children were out of town so his relatives helped him.

"My wife is filming. I don't have anyone at home, my wife and children are out of town. When I'm short of breath, I'm wandering around, my feet are cold, I'm looking at people in the dark. I get slapped when I say ' "Remember Suri (my child)' I'm literate again," said Putri Marino's husband.
His condition was not fully conscious, which made him think he would face death. He even left a message, worried that he would not live long. At that time, the family could not control their tears.
"I was taken to the hospital, whether I was conscious or not, and they said I had said something wrong. 'Please look after Suri, don't tell me my daughter is sick, I'm sorry, she'll think about it, I'm filming the problem.' I said goodbye, 'I can't stand it anymore, I want to go home' And when I saw people crying in front of me," explained Chicco Jerikho.
Grateful to be given a second chance, Chicco is still afraid when he remembers what happened at that time. Chicco Jerikho then described the tense atmosphere during the three days in the HCU room. At that time, he was not the only patient treated there. What happened to other patients on his right and left made Chicco Jerikho uneasy.
"Even now, when I remember that incident, I'm really scared. I never imagined something like that in my life. And I couldn't sleep in that room, I only slept for 3 hours. You could say I was the youngest there, using a pacemaker. "Everyone, one by one, they passed away. There were those who were reading and accompanying their families, until finally no... release," he added.
