Brilio.net - Being an artist's wife does not make Karina Ranau feel embarrassed to sell to help the family's economy. The wife of Epy Kusnandar is in the spotlight of netizens after returning to selling takjil in the month of Ramadan 2025.

Have Been Prepared for a Long Time If Husband Has No JobThe business that Karina runs is not just a seasonal business, but has been started for a long time. Since November 2011, she has opened a culinary business as a preparation if one day her husband no longer gets much work in the entertainment world.

In an interview with Melaney Ricardo on YouTube, Karina revealed that since she was little she was used to the business world. Seeing her mother selling in the village made her used to thinking about how to make her own money.
" Actually, when I was in elementary school, I saw my mother selling things in the village, and I automatically got the idea. After school, I would also join in selling things, so after I got married, I suddenly thought about having a business brain ," he said, quoted from YouTube Melaney Ricardo, Monday (17/3).
He also realized that being an artist could not guarantee a stable income. Therefore, he began to think hard about how to get additional income.
" Moreover, I see that as an artist, we cannot determine whether the money will always be there. So how can I get a little money, then turn it into money again ," he explained.

Smartly Manage Finances, Not Just SpendingWhen she gets her monthly allowance, Karina doesn't spend it all right away. She divides her husband's income carefully so that it can continue to grow and be enough for the future.
" So it's divided like that, if you get one million, that means 500 thousand for your needs, the other 500 thousand, how can it become three million ," he added.
When hard times came, this strategy helped her family financially. In fact, there was a time when Epy was completely jobless, so they had to live in a small rented house and pawn their wedding ring.
" There was a time when my child was about to be born, I was pregnant, there were no jobs, no work. But that was it, I had a little savings, so I had to find a way to make it enough to cover the cost of the birth and pay the rent ," she said.

However, because he did not have the money to buy it for so long, he even forgot about it until the ring was auctioned off.
" When I came, I brought the paper, I said 'Miss, I want to take this.' But it turned out it had already been auctioned. I was sad that I couldn't take it because I didn't have the money yet ," he recalled.
Faithfully Accompanying Husband in Difficult TimesMany asked why Karina remained by Epy's side even though she was short of work. Karina admitted that she never thought of leaving her husband just because of economic problems.
" One is because of the child, secondly because I am sure that if we think 'oh because he doesn't have money, then I have to leave', when he got married he didn't have anything, so now he is being tested. We don't know, maybe in three days we will get a big fortune, so just be patient ," he said.
