Brilio.net - After officially embracing Islam last month, Steven Wongso suddenly was no longer seen with comedian Arafah Rianti. He now appears more often alone or spends time with Ustaz Felix Siauw, the figure who guided him when reciting the two sentences of the shahada.
News about Steven and Arafah's relationship has been widely discussed again after he openly revealed his closeness to the comedian. In a podcast with Deddy Corbuzier and Ustaz Felix, Steven explained that his relationship with Arafah had actually ended since last February.
Steven Wongso's Confession About His Relationship With ArafahSteven revealed that he and Arafah were never really dating. Their relationship was just close without status, or commonly known as HTS (relationship without status).
According to her, their last moment together happened during Valentine's Day. She asserted that the relationship ended even before she made the big decision to embrace Islam.
" It's been a long time (they broke up). It's been a long time, the last time was Valentine's Day. But it's not really a relationship, if today's kids say it's like being close, HTS ," said Steven as quoted from Deddy Corbuzier's YouTube, Tuesday (8/4).

Another interesting thing, Steven admitted that he did not know for sure the reason behind the end of the relationship. There was never a big fight or conflict, everything felt fine until they suddenly decided to separate.
" Want to know the reason? Until now I'm still confused about what the reason is. I don't know ," said Steven.
He felt confused because during the relationship, he always tried to please Arafah. But suddenly the relationship ended without a really clear explanation in his eyes.
" Yes, I explained it, but the reason is, I never fought, I never got angry, I always obeyed him, but it suddenly ended, I don't know why ," he added.

Still Love and Ready to Get Back TogetherEven though they are no longer together, Steven honestly admitted that his feelings for Arafah have not completely disappeared. In the podcast, when Deddy asked if he still loves Arafah, Steven answered firmly that his love for her is still very big.
" Do you still love me? " asked Deddy Corbuzier.
Not only that, he also stated that he was ready if Arafah wanted to rekindle her relationship. He said that sentence firmly and sincerely, as if signaling that Steven's heart was still open to Arafah.
" Love? Really (still love). Still love, really love, if she (Arafah) wants (to get back together), I want to. Really ," he said.

However, Steven denied that his decision to convert had anything to do with his love life. He asserted that the spiritual decision was born from personal struggles and the pressures of life that he experienced repeatedly.
Problems after problems that came made him feel the need to seek peace and a stronger grip on life. Therefore, his choice to embrace Islam was purely out of impulse, not just for love.
" That's right, it has nothing to do (with love). Actually, it's because of the many problems, not just love ," he said.
