Vicky Prasetyo has just shocked the Indonesian public when he appeared in the Pemalang Regent and Deputy Regent candidate debate ahead of the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections. In the event, Vicky Prasetyo and his running mate, Mochamad Suwendi, conveyed their vision and mission in a very compact style, captivating the attention of many people.

Interestingly, when discussing the vision and mission related to Pemalang Regency, Vicky sang the song "Berita Cuaca" popularized by Gombloh. He emphasized the importance of natural resources in Pemalang that must be managed for the welfare of the community.

" Preserve my nature, preserve my village. Where my God entrusted me ," said Vicky before explaining the meaning of the song, as reported by the KPU Pemalang YouTube channel on Saturday (2/11/2024).

After a public debate, the pair Vicky Prasetyo and Mochamad Suwendi managed to win the hearts of the people. Vicky also showed off the results of a poll showing that they were ahead with more than 50 percent of the votes on Friday (1/11/2024).

Through the Instagram account @vickyprasetyo777, Vicky showed that they won 52 percent of the votes, much higher than the other two pairs, who got 38 percent and 10 percent respectively.

While showing the poll results, Vicky also conveyed a statement taken from the debate, " I can't choose where I was born... But I can choose where I should serve for the humanitarian mission... PEMALANG ," he wrote.

Vicky Prasetyo began his political career by joining the Perindo Party and running as a legislative member for the West Java VI region in 2024. Although he failed, he returned to the Pemalang Pilkada as a candidate for regent with Mochamad Suwendi.

This move was quite surprising, considering that Vicky is better known as an entertainment celebrity than a politician. However, during the debate, it was seen that Vicky was very serious in his intention to advance Pemalang City.
