Brilio.net - One of the country's comedians, Marshel Widianto, has officially been nominated as a candidate for Deputy Mayor of South Tangerang (Tangsel). He was nominated by the Gerindra Party for the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Head Election (Pilkada), accompanying Ahmad Riza Patria. However, the news of this candidacy then became a matter of pros and cons among the public, they considered Marshel's suitability to become South Tangerang's less qualified leader.
One of Marshel's bad records was that he had problems with Denny Cagur . It is known that Marshel used to be under the management of artist Dede, Denny's younger brother. However, in May 2024, Denny revealed that Marshel was no longer joining there. Denny considers Marshel's release to be an act of a nut that has forgotten its skin.

Responding to this, Marshel realized and admitted that he had disappointed a number of parties because of his attitude. Including Denny Cagur who is considered instrumental in his career in the entertainment industry. Marshel admitted that he had apologized to Denny and his younger brother, Dede.
"That's absolutely true, and it has been answered that I am indeed a person who has disappointed a lot. Not only Kang Denny but his younger brother Kang Denny, my manager and that is Mr Dede," said Marshel Widianto in the Tendean area, South Jakarta, quoted from merdeka6.com Monday (8/7/2024).

Marshel continued that this moment made him moved and even more enthusiastic about the future. Marshel believes that everyone has the right to get a second chance, for mistakes made in the past.
"It was really touching, because that's what you could say triggered me and made me even more enthusiastic. Everyone definitely has mistakes and a past, but that doesn't mean we don't have a future and second chances," said Marshel.

Sultan Andara said that Marshel was an honest, patient and trustworthy person, so he considered him worthy to be a leader in South Tangerang.
