Famous designer Ivan Gunawan announced that he will perform the hajj this year. This decision was taken suddenly, but with full confidence. Ivan had just registered for the hajj last week and chose to go alone due to the high cost considerations.

"I just registered last week, God willing. I didn't invite anyone. I didn't dare to invite anyone either, because I know how much the cost of the hajj is. But it's okay, just go. Lillahitaala," said Ivan Gunawan when interviewed by Hot Shot SCTV, on Tuesday (15/4).

The man who is familiarly called Igun also told how he found a hajj travel agency that could send him off quickly. Although it was sudden, Ivan managed to get a departure slot and immediately paid off the hajj costs.

"Just last week I wanted to go on the hajj, then I looked for a hajj travel agency, finally there was one who accepted me and paid straight away," he added.

According to the plan, Ivan Gunawan will depart for the Holy Land on May 26 and return to Indonesia on June 12, 2025. He has prepared himself thoroughly, including compiling a list of answered prayers that he wants to pray while there.

"God willing, prayers have also been listed, any prayers that are answered," continued Ivan Gunawan.

Not only that, Ivan Gunawan also did physical preparation so that his hajj pilgrimage would go smoothly. He admitted that he was losing weight so that he would be stronger to carry out the series of physical worship in the Holy Land.

"I'm preparing to lose weight because I'm sure it will be really tough there. I have to lose weight so I don't get tired quickly. Thank God, I've lost 4 kilograms as of yesterday," he explained.

Although he will be going alone, Ivan Gunawan is not lonely. He believes he will meet many good pilgrims who can help each other.

"There will definitely be many friends and good people there. So God willing, I can perform the Hajj pilgrimage from the first day until the end," concluded Ivan Gunawan.
