Inul Daratista remembers the kindness of Titiek Puspa, who lent her money when she was banned

Inul Daratista remembers Titiek Puspa who helped her during difficult times.

After Titiek Puspa was buried at Tanah Kusir TPU, South Jakarta on Friday, April 11, 2025, Inul Daratista recalled how kind the maestro was when she first started her career in Jakarta as a famous singer with Goyang Ngebor.

One of the unforgettable memories was when Inul was going through a hard time, banned in many areas, and her income had drastically decreased. In the midst of those difficulties, Titiek Puspa came to lend a helping hand. At that time, Inul had bought a house in the elite area of Pondok Indah, South Jakarta, and needed support to pay off the installments.

Now, Titiek Puspa and Inul Daratista seem to have exchanged phases of life in the same place. The soap opera star Why Must It Be Inul? gave birth to a child at Medistra Hospital in Jakarta in 2009, and 16 years later, Titiek Puspa died in the same place.

" From setting foot in Jakarta, faltering, falling and getting up, sad and crying, struggling, he is the one who raised my spirit so that I can stand strong until today. Ya rahman ya rakhim, the best person I have met in this world ," said Inul Daratista with great emotion.

Mrs. Adam Suseno conveyed this in a written statement uploaded to her verified Instagram account on April 11, 2025.

" It's hard to forget. The times when my grandfather helped me. The times when I was borrowed money because I was banned. The times when I couldn't pay the house installments and then he invited me to work together so I could cover the house installments of 285 million per month ," he admitted.

Inul continued, " The time when people didn't show off riding a private jet. I was already on a private jet belonging to my grandfather's brother because I had to perform at TPI and have a wedding in Surabaya. The time when I was picked up in Pasuruan because I had given up hope and had to go back to Jakarta ."

There are many stories about the kindness of Titiek Puspa that will never run out to be remembered. Losing Titiek Puspa feels like being cut by a knife that wounds the depths of the heart. Now, there is no more Titiek Puspa, and Inul Daratista can only remember and continue praying for her.

After the banning phase passed and the difficult times were over, the ties between Titiek Puspa and Inul Daratista remained close. They often shared stories over the phone and visited each other. When Inul was hit by bad news, Titiek Puspa always took the initiative to call to make sure that Si Goyang Ngebor was okay.

" No one called me again until my phone got hot ," he concluded with a tone full of nostalgia.
