What do you think is the reason?

Brilio.net - Famous lawyer Hotman Paris Hutapea recently attracted public attention not because of a legal case, but because of the actions of his three children, Fritz , Felicia, and Frank Hutapea, who decided to unfollow their father's Instagram account. The decision was motivated by several important considerations related to the family's privacy and how Hotman uses social media.

The root of the problem began with Hotman Paris' habit of often doing sudden live broadcasts (Instagram live), especially when the family was gathered and engaged in private conversations. Hotman's children were very concerned that the family's conversations that should have been confidential could potentially be spread widely to the public through the live broadcast, which they considered a significant violation of privacy.

"Just look at his followers. I don't follow him. None of us follow him," said Fritz Hutapea in Melaney Ricardo's podcast, quoted Tuesday (25/3).

Family privacy is a major concern for Hotman Paris' three children. Live broadcasts that are often done without the family's knowledge have created a sense of discomfort among them. They feel that personal conversations that should be confidential have the potential to become public consumption, which of course causes anxiety and discomfort.

Interestingly, Hotman's children do not have a problem with the satirical content that their father often uploads. They understand that it is part of Hotman Paris' personality and job. However, the very high intensity of uploads remains the main problem that drives them to take the decision to unfollow.

"Looking at the content, it is often seen as criticizing people, whether it is for their own interests, work or personal," said Fritz.

The turning point that triggered the decision was an incident where Hotman Paris recorded and immediately uploaded a family conversation without asking permission first. This action directly disappointed and offended his children, exacerbating the existing tension.

"In the past, the worst thing was, we were once at a family gathering, talking about work. You can just talk about people between families, right? He once recorded, posted live," he said.

In fact, the decision to unfollow is not new. Since Hotman Paris first became active on Instagram, his three children have considered this step. However, as the intensity of their father's social media usage increased, this problem became more pronounced and finally peaked.

The decision to unfollow was not just a spontaneous action, but a reflection of deep concern about the boundaries of privacy in the family. They hope that their father can be more sensitive to family privacy and be able to reduce the intensity of his social media use.
