Brilio.net - The Sounds Project 7 stage will be up soon. This music festival will be held for three full days at Ecovention & Ecopark Ancol from 9 to 11 August 2024.
More than 90 names are ready to take turns filling The Sounds Project Stage, MG Stage, Garden Stage, Musicverse Stage and Joged Stage during that time. At least, there are three interesting things that are worth looking into further from the main line up of The Sounds Project 7.
First, this time The Sounds Project 7 will present three international names as final performers. They are Neck Deep (UK), Secondhand Serenade (USA), and Jamie Miller (USA). Pop-punk band Neck Deep will perform on the first day, this stage will be their first appearance in Southeast Asia in 2024, you know.
Actually, they don't have a schedule to go to Asia this year. "We contacted them but there was no reply, but in the end they were the ones who approached us first and became the exclusive set in Southeast Asia for this year," said Gerhana Banyubiru aka Ghana, festival director from The Sounds Project, quoted by brilio.net from a press release, Friday (12/7).

For The Sounds Project and Secondhand Serenade, this is the latest chapter in their story after previously bringing the American rock unit to Surabaya and Jogjakarta last year under the Musicverse umbrella. Meanwhile, Jamie Miller himself was actually scheduled to appear at last year's festival, but only met this year.
The next surprise, several performers will steal the attention with cool collaborations. Those who will collaborate are Vierratale x Killing Me Reunion, Efek Rumah Kaca x Baradasar, Bilal Indrajaya x SORE, Winky Wiryawan x Whisnu Santika, and also The Rain x Rocket Rockers.
"We want a collaboration that in terms of genre is still 'connected', in terms of band chemistry, it's not too far off, and also from a technical perspective that isn't too complicated, so when you perform you're ready," explained Ghana.
Lastly, The Sounds Project 7 will be the first time for several names across generations to show off their skills in front of thousands of spectators. Starting from Alexa, Ali, Baale, Bagas Ran, Bernadya, Biru Baru, Dongker, Eleventwelfth, FSTVLST, Jinan Laetitia, J-Rocks, Nadhif Basalamah, Radja, Rub of Rub, Summerlane, to The Bandells and Wali.

Apart from these three things, several special sets are also not to be missed. For example, The Changcuters with a special 20th Anniversary Set, Banda Neira performed by Ananda Badudu, Rain Parade which is a nostalgic stage for Payung Teduh with Pusakata, and possibly TRIAD's last stage with the maestro, Ahmad Dhani before looking for a new vocalist.
If we follow in the footsteps of The Sounds Project 7, this year the festival made history by holding a total of 19 pre-events with Musicverse spread across Jabodetabek as well as Bandung and Serang. A
The series, which started last March, collaborates with 14 campuses with the Authenticators program which provides a platform for students to get involved in the journey.
In fact, some campus kids do it themselves. From there, it was then curated together with the Authenticators program, where those who are already involved in Musicverse will be involved in the festival too. "So the Authenticators' journey is from pre-event to festival," explained Ghana.
This time, The Sounds Project 7 has put the slogan "Discover Miracle" which is not just a sentence. A little flashback, in 2015 they went from being a campus event to becoming the national scale music festival they are now.
The track record is clearly remembered by moving venues every year in line with the increasing enthusiasm of the audience, a journey that started from Rolling Stone Cafe, Gudang Sarinah, Kuningan City Mall, to Ecovention & Ecopark Ancol in the past three years. For Ghana, this is a miracle experienced by The Sounds Project.
It's really miraculous that we have reached this point in the midst of other festivals. "We hope that The Sounds Project can bring magic to the audiences who come, and we also hope that the audiences will find their own magic here," concluded Ghana.
