Dede Sunandar, who was previously known as a comedian, is now seen working at a restaurant. He confirmed that he has been working at the cafe for the past month.
Initially, Dede Sunandar was entrusted by the restaurant owner to manage entertainment for customers. In addition, he also helped as a waiter and even cooked in the kitchen.
"So, I am responsible for the entertainment section, as well as helping my fellow waiters , baristas, and cooks here. Because I have experience in Japanese restaurants, so I can contribute too," said Dede when interviewed at Pantai Indah Kapuk, North Jakarta.
According to Dede, this situation made him not hesitate to take this job. He realized that job offers on TV were getting rarer and it was impossible to rely only on savings.
"If there are no more jobs on TV, I have no choice but to work. I have savings, but they will eventually decrease. So, I have to look for other alternatives," he added.
Even so, Dede still hopes to return to the world of art. He wants to do both jobs, both in restaurants and on TV, if the opportunity arises.
"Actually, it's not that I haven't been on TV, but I haven't been called yet. If there's another offer, I'll come back. Hopefully I can do both," he said in a relaxed tone.
Dede feels comfortable with his current job and does not hesitate to explain to people about his activities after failing in the 2024 Legislative Election.
"This month I feel very comfortable. Many people ask, 'Bro, why aren't you on TV now?' I say, 'Yes, I'm handling this'. I often become a guest star," he concluded with a smile.
