Dede Sunandar , who is known as an artist, now does not feel ashamed to work in a restaurant. Although he previously ran as a legislative candidate for the Bekasi City DPRD in the 2024 Election, Dede realized that this job was the right step to support his family.
Having only been working for a month, Dede admitted that he not only manages entertainment for customers, but also acts as a waiter and helps in the kitchen. "There is no prestige. Prestige, not feeding the wife and children. The important thing is to work hard, as it is," he said when met at Pantai Indah Kapuk Jakarta.
He started work on November 15 and feels grateful to be able to earn income for his family. Although the salary as an artist is much bigger, Dede is still grateful for his new job.
"Regarding the nominal salary, yes, artists have it (large), but it only takes 3 to 6 months for them to get it. If this is monthly, it covers the expenses of the wife and children, school, although it's not a luxurious one. It's normal like that," he explained.
Dede also emphasized the importance of working in a halal manner. Previously, he worked at HAS Creative, but his contract was not extended. "Well, the important thing is that the work is halal. Thank you very much to HAS Creative for inviting Dede," he said.
Now, Dede is ready to play various roles in restaurants for the sake of his beloved family, even though he rarely appears on screen. "The point is for my family, I play all roles, be creative, be a waiter , be a cook . The important thing is halal," he added enthusiastically.
