The comedian who is widely known through various television shows decided to become a waiter at a restaurant in the Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2 area. This decision certainly sparked the curiosity of many people.
Not without reason, he took this step to balance his financial situation amidst the vacuum of the television world for him. Although still waiting for a job offer in the entertainment world, Dede felt the need to find alternative work to remain productive. His experience in the restaurant world also became the main provision in his new journey.
Dede Sunandar firmly stated that this transition is only a temporary step, while waiting for the opportunity to entertain again on television. The culinary world job is actually a new challenge that he is taking on with enthusiasm. Although he is now busy in a cafe in the PIK area, Dede is still open to the opportunity to return to the entertainment world.
"Yes, that's right, actually I also handle the media section, like the events section. Yesterday, there started to be events during Christmas and New Year, nataru is the term," he said, quoted by brilio.net from KapanLagi on Friday (3/1).

He explained how the cafe where he works is currently undergoing major preparations. Dede is even trusted to handle various areas, from entertainment to helping with the cafe's daily operations.
"I was hired at a cafe in PIK 2, and coincidentally they were going to open many branches. I was trusted to handle entertainment as well as help the waitress, barista, and cook here," he continued.
His long experience in the culinary industry is also the reason he wants to enter this field. Dede feels that his past skills can be an important asset in today's job world.
"Because I used to have basic knowledge in Japanese restaurants, I took it too," he added.
When asked about his rare appearance on screen, Dede casually denied the news. He explained that his decision did not mean he was really leaving the world of television.
"Actually, it's not that it's not on TV, it's just that it hasn't been called," he explained.
Regarding the issue that he changed direction due to financial difficulties, Dede explained the situation honestly. For him, this situation forced him to keep moving and trying without waiting too long.

"Yes, if that is the situation, it has to be done, because there is no more TV. The savings are not meant to run out, but they will continue to decrease," he said.
Nevertheless, Dede is grateful to be able to do the job that is in front of him at this time. He believes that every job opportunity is worth being grateful for and living it wholeheartedly.
"Yes, whether we like it or not, whatever we can do, we will do it. The point remains the same," he continued.
Dede also emphasized that he did not completely leave the entertainment world even though his current focus is different. According to him, all possibilities can still happen if later there is a suitable offer in the television world.
"It's a change of direction. For example, if there is another TV offer, come back again, you can do both, like that. So you don't leave this, you don't leave that," concluded Dede.
