Brilio.net/en - The creativity of Indonesias youth never stops. There is always something unique that inspires the youth to create something useful for life.

We now have Nurina Zahra and Tri Ayu Lestari who were capable of creating an Anti-kidnapping Bracelet (GAP).

Their idea actually came unintentionally. At that time, Rina and Tari were at a computer exhibition in JEC (Jogja Expo Center). There were a lot of visitors and got them separated and found it hard to find each other.

Meanwhile, Taris cell phones battery was low so I couldnt contact her and it got more confusing by the crowd, said Rina.

They got more inspiration by noticing the phenomenon of child abductions and many cases of children who got separated from their parents when they are in a mall or market.

This bracelet is specifically designed to monitor a child or baby when they are far from their parents. When a child is far from his or her parents, the alarm on the bracelet will ring, said Rina to brilio.net.

She explained the mechanism of Anti-kidnapping Bracelet (GAP), in which the bracelet contains a transmitter worn by a child and will send RX radio signal to the parents bracelet. The alarm will ring when parents are more than 3 meters away from their child. In the future, they strive to improve the functionality of the bracelet so that it can work for farther distances.

In addition, both of them will add a GPS feature that can be connected with mobile phones, so that when a child is quite away from parents; his or her location can be tracked.

Their invention also successfully won a silver medal in the International Exhibition of Young Inventors Competition which is a competition of scientific works for teenagers.
