The divorce process between Kimberly Ryder and Edward Akbar is indeed in the spotlight. Initially, their divorce decision was scheduled for November 20, 2024 at the Central Jakarta Religious Court, but unfortunately, the decision had to be postponed until November 29.

This was conveyed by Kimberly's attorney, Machi Achmad, who explained that even though the delay had occurred twice, Kimberly's party still respected the existing legal process.

"We certainly appreciate this postponement because the Panel of Judges is still conducting deliberations and good communication," said Machi at the South Jakarta Metro Police on November 22, 2024.

Machi also explained that in her lawsuit, Kimberly only asked for divorce and child custody. In addition, there is also a request for maintenance that must be fulfilled by Edward for their children. "We are asking for maintenance for the children and wife, of course this is an important thing," he added.

In her lawsuit, Kimberly filed for Rp 40 million in child support for their two children. However, all final decisions remain in the hands of the panel of judges. "For child support, we filed for around Rp 40 million, but it all depends on the judge's decision. For Kimberly herself, she only asked for Rp 5,000 in child support," Machi explained.

Machi added that the divorce verdict hearing was conducted ecourt. He hopes that the divorce process will run smoothly and fairly. "The 29th is the date set for the verdict. Let us pray that my client will get the fairest decision from the Panel of Judges at the Central Jakarta Religious Court," concluded Machi Achmad.
