Marcell admitted that he experienced significant changes after deciding to convert to Islam. According to him, he received blessings in the form of sustenance. The 33 year old soap opera actor admitted that his fortune was getting stronger, to the point where he was able to buy a vehicle and build a house. He expressed this in a podcast kasi Solusi.

This statement was also made to refute the many negative stigmas for converts to Islam. The reason is, according to Marcell, many people say that people will fall into poverty after changing religions. On the contrary, the flow of Marcell's fortune has actually become smoother.
"For me, as time goes by, there's no reason why if you change any religion, then suddenly you fall, it doesn't exist," said Marcell Darwin.

"Even after I converted to Islam, I got married, my work is going smoothly, I have savings, I bought two cars, whatever, I plan to build a house. There are no problems for me," he continued.
Even so, this father of one child admits that he still continues to study the teachings of Islam. He is well aware that there are still many mistakes in improving himself. Therefore, he will try to become a better person.
"I'm still in the learning stage, which means I still make a lot of mistakes or whatever," he said.

He also denied that he was now a good person. Marcell said that he was still far from perfect. He even admitted that he often lied to his wife. He conveyed this in order to avoid prejudice from netizens who said that he had been a good person.
