Brilio.net/en - Pokémon-Go is taking over Earth, with kids and even adults now combing the world, trying to find all the Pokemon so they can become a Pokémon-master!
The idea behind it is to get young people up and moving, rather than just sitting at home playing video games. To make people go even further, game developer Niantic Labs and Nintendo have placed rare Pokémon characters in tourism destinations around the world, including in Indonesia!

Below is the list of all the weird, wonderful and slightly mad locations you can find legendary Pokémon in the archipelago, while taking in the sights along the way.

1. Moltres, on Anak Krakatau in the Sunda Strait

The eruption of Mount Krakatoa (Krakatau in bahasa indonesia) in 1883 was heard thousands of miles away and recorded on seismometers across the world. The debris it threw up into the air clouded the sky and lowered global temperatures for years. The eruption burst sailors’ eardrums and destroyed the volcano, which was situated in the Sunda Strait between Java and Sumatra.
Deep below the earth, magma came rising and soon enough we had a new island rising out of the collapsed caldera. Anak Krakatau - The Child of Krakatoa. It’s really no surprise that one of the legendary fire-type Pokémons, Moltres, can be found here.
2. Mesprit, by Lake Toba in Sumatra

Sinnoh is a region in Pokémon world that is made of islands, similar to Indonesia. One of the legendary Pokémon lake guards is Mesprit, which is placed in the biggest and most beautiful lake in Indonesia, Toba in North Sumatra. This one was created by an even bigger eruption than Krakatoa, thousands of years ago.
3. Ho-oh, in Jayapura

Papua is home to the world-famous Cendrawasih, or birds-of-paradise. The beauty of these animals was the inspiration for Ho-oh, another legendary Pokémon. Niantic and Nintendo placed it in Jayapura, the capital of Papua Province. Going into the jungle would have been a bit too much of a challenge, even for them!
4. Registeel, at Krakatau Steel Factory

Registeel is made out of the strongest metal in the world, so naturally you can find this fella at a stainless steel factory in Cilegon, West Java. You can collect this Pokémon on your way to number one on this list!
5. Shaymin, in West Nusa Tenggara

If you’re looking for a plant or grass Pokémon, a savanna environment is the right place to look for it. The largest savanna in Indonesia is located in West Nusa Tenggara, and that’s the home of the legendary Pokémon Shaymin.
6. Terrakion, in Ujung Kulon National Park

The Ujung Kulon National Park in West Java is famous for its resident endangered species of one-horned rhinoceros. Terrakion is a horned Pokémon that you can find there. Sadly, it’s not as rare as the rhinos themselves.
