Brilio.net/en - Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) asked immigration authorities to issue an overseas travel ban on Parliament Speaker Setya Novanto.
"Concerning e-KTP (Electronic identity card) graft case with suspected AA (Andi Agustinus a.k.a Andi Narogong), we asked the immigration to prevent Setya Novanto traveling abroad for over the next six months," said KPK Spokesman Febri Diansyah, Tuesday.
The travel ban request was then confirmed by Directorate General of Immigration Ronny Franky Sompie. He admitted to receive a letter from KPK on Monday.
"Yesterday night, we received received a Letter on Request for Prevention for traveling abroad on behalf of Setya Novanto," said Ronny.
Novanto is one of several politicians who was mentioned to receive some money related to e-KTP project. His status remained witness as the KPK mentioned no imputation against him.
