The Its finger lickin good nail polishes has started to spark questions: are they really edible? Well, the answer is yes, apparently. They were made with food-grade ingredients such as vegetable oil, starch, and the real KFC secret spices. They contain no chemicals, and thus only lasted for five days after it's been opened. So, we only can apply them once.

According to reviews, the texture is more like chilli sauce instead of nail polish, and it tends to clot easily. The colour is not too pigmented, and true to its advertisements, it tastes like fried chicken when licked.

To be honest, the idea is really innovative and creative, but some people might think its kind of gross to have your nails smell and taste like fried chicken. Its like you didnt wash your hands after having lunch and it may turn people off.

However, KFC Hong Kong managed to get a lot of attention with their one-of-a-kind nail polishes. Anna Mugglestone, PR Director of marketing and communications company Ogilvy & Mathers Hong Kong, said that the nail polishes will bring Hong Kong youth the great taste and good times the brand stands for, as reported by the New York Times.
