Brilio.net - Brewing tea can be done in various different ways. A teapot is the main choice when making tea in large quantities. The brewing process is done by pouring hot water into a teapot that has been filled with tea.

A teapot filled with ready-to-drink tea can be poured directly into a glass to be enjoyed. However, using a teapot to brew tea continuously can cause dirt to stick to the inside of the teapot. This dirt is formed from tea sediment that is not removed during washing and will harden into a thick crust over time.

Cleaning the hardened tea crust inside the teapot requires a special method because it is not enough to just use ordinary soap. The right cleaning method is needed to restore the teapot to its new condition. This effective way to clean tea crust has been shared through the Home Tips YouTube channel.

As reported by BrilioFood from YouTube Home Tips on Friday (20/12), the YouTube user admitted to not using soap, including dish soap. Instead, he relied on another kitchen ingredient to remove the thick tea crust on the inside of the teapot.

Well, the kitchen ingredient used is baking soda.

How to use baking soda to clean a teapot is also quite easy. First, put 4-5 tablespoons of baking soda into the teapot. After that, pour boiling hot water into the teapot until it is completely full.

Next, stir until the baking soda dissolves. If so, cover the kettle and soak for 2 hours. Well, this baking soda solution will help lift the thick crust. While the hot water used also functions to soften the crust that has hardened. This is what also makes baking soda work more optimally.

After soaking for 2 hours, the soaking water looks yellow and very cloudy. If it is like that, immediately throw it away and wash the kettle as usual using a brush and soap. Well, for maximum results, YouTube user Home Tips suggests using warm water when washing the kettle. That way, the remaining crust that is still stuck can immediately fall off and the kettle is clean again.
