Brilio.net - Cassava is a good alternative to rice. With its high carbohydrate content, cassava not only makes you full, but also offers a delicious taste and pampers the tongue. Therefore, many people choose cassava as a filling and delicious food choice.

Cassava can be processed as a light snack or even as a main dish. You can enjoy it directly or combine it with other ingredients according to taste. The cooking techniques are also varied, from boiling, steaming, to frying.

Frying cassava is one of the popular methods. This process gives it a crispy texture on the outside while keeping it soft on the inside. Fried cassava is also a perfect companion for a cup of tea or coffee, making it an ideal snack.

To achieve a crispy texture and a cracked shape, many people fry cassava twice. Although this method makes cassava crispy, sometimes the inside can be dry when eaten. In addition, this method requires more cooking oil, which can be a problem in itself.

But you don't need to worry yet. A netizen through the YouTube account Centong Kitchen shared how to make fried cassava without having to fry it twice. Even so, the results are still crispy and perfectly cracked, you know.

As reported by BrilioFood from YouTube Centong Kitchen on Wednesday (18/9), peel and cut the cassava according to taste. Once done, wash it thoroughly under running water. Don't forget to cut the entire surface of the cassava using a fork.

"This is so that the spices can penetrate deep inside and can burst later," he said.

While waiting for the cassava to cook, prepare the marinade. Grind five cloves of garlic until smooth. Once smooth, put the garlic in a container filled with ice water. Add 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp bouillon powder, stir well.

When the cassava is cooked, drain it and then put it in the marinade that has been made. No need to soak it for too long, just stir it until the cassava cracks by itself.
