Brilio.net/en - As everything is going either mobile or portable, printers are the only things we cant bring everywhere. But an Israeli startup ZUtA Lab just made a breakthrough invention by creating the worlds first portable robotic printer. They shrunk the conventional printer into a small handy device that is only 102 mm in diameter and weighs 350 g that can is light and easily carried in any handbag or backpack.

The pocket printer started as a Kickstarter project and gained support from all over the world, especially when they exhibited at the 2015 International CES. The innovative design changed the old way of printing that was to produce the inked paper through the device into having the robotic device to walk on the paper just as how we write.

ZUtA printer can be connected to PCs, laptops, tablets and smartphones, or any device with Wi-Fi connection. It can work with various Operating Systems such as Android, iOS, OSX and Windows. It is designed to work with Micro USB charging system to work for around 60 pages or about one hour per full battery charge.

To start printing is as easy as aligning the printer on the corner of the paper and clicking print to have the robotic printer do its task. The small printer can print with a speed of 1 to 1.2 pages per minute with a 300 dpi quality on standard paper sizes. ZUtA prints rather quietly, unlike the existing printers we know.

A cartridge of ink can produce approximately 100 pages and you can easily replace the cartridge with a new one. As they are still testing the product, for now ZUtA can only print on paper with black ink. Lets hope that it can apply on more materials and come with more colours. If you are interested in adding ZUtA to complete your mobile working life, they open preorders for USD 299 and the printer is going to be shipped to your door by December 2016.
