Brilio.net - Who hurt you, Nad? This question often arises from many people after listening to Bernadya's works. As is known, this 20 year old woman's songs are always successful in touching the hearts of listeners. Like the two singles 'They Say It's Too Much' and 'Now They Know' which he released this year. After being overwhelmed with questions, Bernadya now tells the story through a full album entitled 'Unfortunately, Life Must Go On'.
Unfortunately, Life Must Go On is a phase of Bernadya's maturation, after the mini album 'Terlintas' which was released in 2023. Through this album, Bernadya explains the journey of her love story from stage to stage more clearly. However, with a mysterious approach through the dominance of black visuals which emphasizes the sadness, disappointment and anger that covers the melancholic side.
Not just an outpouring of personal perspective, this album also represents the feelings of many people. Feelings that we may never have expected, but in reality often occur and we inevitably have to face them. This is where Bernadya's new era really begins.
"The songs on this album are not just telling stories, but rather direct expressions of everything that one person feels personally," added Bernadya, quoted by brilio.net from a press release, Thursday (27/6).
The music in this album comes alive through the cool hands of Petra Sihombing and Rendy Pandugo as producers. The combination of the producers' arrangements perfects the emotions that are conveyed in each song which takes the journey of love through its three phases.

The heartbreak phase, which was the beginning of unrest, was expressed in the songs 'Unfortunately, Life Must Go On', 'They Say This Is Too Much', 'Lama-Lama', and 'We Bury Until We Die'.
The second phase continues with 'Door Threshold' and 'Running' which indicate self-doubt within us. Until finally the realization process which became the third phase was ushered in by the songs 'Now They Know' and 'Fortunately, Life Must Go On' which closed this journey
Petra Sihombing revealed that the music that Bernadya brought to her first album showed a side of Bernadya that had not previously appeared in her previous releases.
Perhaps Bernadya in this album appears as a different figure. "But here, Bernadya doesn't abandon her distinctive way of singing, which makes this release still have Bernadya's signature red thread," explained Petra Sihombing.
Petra also said that Bernadya was very diligent and serious during the work on this album, starting from communicating long distance from Bali to Jakarta, until finally meeting in person in Bali to work on it.
"Of course he is also braver with new writing and musical aspects," added Petra.
Meanwhile, Rendy Pandugo said that Bernadya was one of his favorite songwriters. After Bernadya first gave him a demo to work on, Rendy felt something different and unique.
"The nuances are darker, and the fun thing is that I always get new things that I can learn, both in terms of music production and writing lyrics," said Rendy.
According to the CEO of JUNI Records, Adryanto Pratono, Bernadya succeeded in creating eight songs which were not just sad, lilting songs, but also beautiful works and more mature music.
"In a good way. At the age of 20, you can feel Nadya's musicality growing. This is Bernadya's new era, Bernadya who is more assertive in voicing the hearts of many of her listeners who are apparently captivated by the dark nuances that Bernadya carries," he explained.
Bernadya admits that she tries to write songs as naturally as possible, pouring out the things that are in her mind and making the lyrics as they are. He hopes that this album will be accepted by listeners.
The official music video for the album Unfortunately, Life Must Go On can now be watched on Bernadya's YouTube and Spotify channels. These videos were produced by Rifqi Fadhlurrahman as director, who also worked on the lyric video They Say This is Excessive and Now They Know. By showing many sets in this Official music video, Bernadya and Juni Records want to convey a unified dining room as the main set of this lyric video. Bernadya plays with her imagination as if she were directly telling the messages in her songs.
