Brilio.net - Fat Cat , or known as Pang Mao in real life, is a famous gamer from China who gained fame through his activities in the virtual world. However, behind the monitor screen, Fat Cat's life was full of twists and turns, leading to the tragic decision to end his own life.

On April 11, 2024, Fat Cat chose to end his life by jumping from the Yangtze River Bridge in Chongqing. And it was only on April 23 that the young man's body was found.

Fat Cat's death was linked to his romantic relationship with a woman named Tan Zhu. During their courtship, this 21 year old man is suspected of having spent a lot of money to finance Tan Zhu's lifestyle, the amount reached 510 thousand Yuan or around Rp. 1.1 billion.

Fat Cat and Tan Zhu's romantic conflict began to arise when they were in a long distance relationship. The two often clashed until they finally broke up in early April 2024.

However, because Fat Cat was really in love with Tan Zhu, he wanted to date her again so much so that he transferred money to Tan Zhu amounting to IDR 150 million on April 10. In fact, he was willing to buy flowers worth IDR 1.8 million for his ex-girlfriend . Unfortunately, Tan Zhu did not respond to Fat Cat's attitude, so the gamer was determined to end his life.

After going viral because of his tragic story, the figure of Fat Cat was much sought after. Several photos that spread along with the news of Fat Cat's suicide implied that some of the men's faces were really the faces of the pro player.

However, after further investigation, the Fat Cat photo circulating on social media was a hoax, aka fake. Reported by brilio.net from the TikTok account @awanputih998, there was a man who provided clarification regarding his photo which was spread as the figure of Fat Cat. In the video the man said his name was Yang Guoguo and he was an elementary school teacher.

"Hello everyone, I am Yang Guoguo, I am an elementary school teacher," he explained.

Yang Guoguo admitted that he received contact from several friends regarding information about his photo being spread on social media as Fat Cat. He didn't even know that his photo had spread abroad.

"I received private messages from several of my fans and friends that my photos were spread on social media abroad," he said.

Yang Guoguo also felt angry about the use of his photo in the Fat Cat and Tan Zhu case. These individuals provide wrong information in order to gain profit.

"What I want to say is that this violation is very shameful, and to commercialize (my photo) is even more shameful," he stressed.

Meanwhile, Fat Cat's brother, via his upload on his Weibo account, also asked him to stop spreading hoax news, especially pictures of his sister's face. He deliberately did not expose his sister's face to protect her privacy.
