Brilio.net - The 2024 Cannes International Film Festival is now increasingly busy with the presence of delegates from Indonesia. This year, five Indonesian producers, Yulia Evina Bhara (KawanKawan Media), Gita Fara (Cineria Films), Ifa Isfansyah (Forka Films), Mandy Marahimin (Talamedia), and Muhammad Zaidy (Palari Films) were included in the Producers Under the Spotlight category. Producers Network program in the world's most important film market, March du Film (MdF) Cannes International Film Festival 2024.

The five producers will introduce the work of the nation's children to world filmmakers at this event. Last Sunday (19/5), the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research & Technology of the Republic of Indonesia presented the work of the five producers at the Producers Network Breakfast Meeting. The series of Producers Network meetings take place at the Producers Club, which is located in Lrins (Palais des Festivals).

The March du Film will take place May 1422, 2024. More than 14 thousand film industry professionals come to Cannes every year to present and discover nearly 4 thousand films and projects in development at 33 screening venues.

Apart from the five producers, the Indonesian Delegation is also represented by producers from Indonesian production houses who will network with international film actors at the Producers Network at MdF. Production houses that will join MdF include MD Pictures, Visinema Pictures, Miles Films, and Rapi Films.

Not only that, the Indonesian delegation also exhibited an Indonesian booth. This will be an area for business matches for Indonesian producers and business people from various countries. What's even cooler is that there will also be an Indonesian Night which will be held on May 20 2024 local time at Quinzaine Plage. On Indonesian Night, the Indonesian Delegation will host 300 honored guests.

The Indonesian and Filipino co-produced documentary, Oma (Armin Septiexan, Lodimeda Kini and Armi Rae Cacanindin) will be present at Cannes Docs. The documentary film project Oma will have the opportunity to receive international support, co-production, and win awards.

"Women from Rote Island" produced by Bintang Cahaya Sinema, which is also the Best Film of FFI 2023 and winner of four Citra Cups, will also be screened during the MdF period at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. Apart from that, Bintang Cahaya Sinema will open a booth and bring seven of their films to be marketed at this event.
