Brilio.net - There are plenty of ways food manufacturers promote their products on social media, but one particular noodle-maker has stirred up some controversy.
Bihun Kekinian has caught the ire of more conservative social media users. Its name refers to a type of Indonesian noodle, and the second means "Bikini". The packaging itself shows a womans body in a bikini holding an open pack of noodles, with the words "squeeze me" written below.
The Bandung-made snack was advertised through Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp and BBM.
Some mothers on social media were outraged at the marketing ploy.
"Now there is a snack for kids that has adult content on the packaging ... Bihun Bikini... Keep this snack away from the kids.... hopefully the snack will be immediately taken out of distribution." said the account Sudarmini Mini.
Some, though, were more curious.
"Waaaaah......................this looks tasty" wrote Anton Wonder.
