Brilio.net/en - Six people, including a 9-year-old, died in an alleged house robbery that took place in Pulomas, East Jakarta, on Tuesday morning.

"The victims suspectedly died of suffocation after being locked up," said East Jakarta Police Superintendent Sapta Maulana.

Sapta said details of the event is still under investigation.

The robbers reportedly locked 11 people, consisting family members, drivers, and maids in a small 1.5 x1.5-meter bathroom, five of whom remain in critical condition.

Police have requested statements from witnesses Sandrego Evan Pratama Putra and Sheila Putri, who had reported the incident to the Kayu Putih police.
