Brilio.net - Being solemn is something that must be done when worshiping. Even under any circumstances, a person must remain focused in carrying out the religious ritual process. This certainly reflects an attitude of respect for God. Man faces Him with all his heart and mind, realizing the greatness and majesty of God.
The post uploaded by the TikTok account @junaidyhss shows a Muslim's devotion to worship. The video ultimately became a reflection for netizens that as long as there is intention, nothing can stop someone from worshiping.
At the beginning of the video, it shows a group of men wearing neat Muslim clothing gathering at the mosque . It is known that this was the moment when Friday prayers took place. Several people sat on the floor of the mosque and there was an imam who was leading.
The floor of the mosque in the middle looks high as if it was specially designed so that it would not be submerged. Because, it doesn't look wet even in the middle of a flood. Meanwhile, the surroundings of the mosque and even the outside were also full of water.
It can be seen that the part that was not flooded was quite small, so local residents had to use boats. At first glance it looks like a boat entering the mosque. But it turns out there wasn't just one boat. Outside the mosque there are also several boats.
Some of the congregation could not fit into the mosque, so they sat on boats to participate in Friday prayers. In the middle of a fairly high body of water, this did not make them abandon their worship, even though they had to worry about sitting in a boat.
"Unbelievable, there is no reason for them to leave Friday prayers," wrote one netizen in the comments column.
After tracing, this video is located in the Mangkatir area. A village located in Dusun Hilir sub-district, South Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan Province, Indonesia. Not only the mosque, this area has been hit by flooding for the last few days.
Based on data from the local Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), around a week ago 49 villages and 7 sub-districts from 5 sub-districts in South Barito Regency experienced flooding. One of these areas is Mangkatir village. The water level at that time reached 1 meter.
However, even though the flood hit, it turned out that local residents still found a way to perform Friday prayers. They went to the mosque by boat or what Kalimantan people often call jukung.
This video also went viral and attracted the attention of netizens. Apart from the controversy and debate that occurred, many netizens also praised the efforts of local residents to get to the mosque. However, many also joke that maybe it's okay to listen to sermons while fishing because there happens to be water nearby.
"Is it okay to listen to a sermon while fishing like that," asked the account @asent_nyonyo
"I'm not afraid of getting upset when I pray and I lose my balance," wrote the account @dirameida_
"At least they try to pray Friday prayers, whereas those of us whose mosques are close to home often don't attend," said the account @nando77hz
"I almost got angry because Sholjum brought a canoe. It turns out the mosque is on the water. I really appreciate his faith," said the account @kamucanduu22.
From the time the video was posted until this article was written, the @junaidyhss account has gathered 5.1 million views. Apart from that, there were also 237,800 accounts that gave likes and 2934 comments.
