Brilio.net - Pillows are sleeping equipment used to support the neck and head. Nowadays, there is no need to bother making pillows from kapok because they are widely available on the market, generally white. To protect the pillow from dirt, pillowcases are often used.

Although they function as protectors, pillowcases still need to be washed regularly to keep them clean and comfortable. Without regular care, pillowcases can accumulate dust and dirt, especially from sweat while sleeping, which can cause discoloration to yellow over time.

If it's like this, the pillowcase is hard to clean even though it's been brushed hard. But don't worry, you don't need to rush to replace it with a new one, because there are still other ways to remove it.

As reported by brilio.net on Saturday (22/2), the ingredients in question are detergent powder and bath soap. While the kitchen ingredients used are dishwashing soap.

First, prepare a bucket. Then pour enough water into the bucket. If so, add enough detergent powder and dish soap. Stir so that the two ingredients are evenly mixed. Next, put in the pillowcase to be washed.

"I'll soak it for a few minutes," he said.

After soaking, the YouTube user applies bar soap to the pillowcase, then rubs it until it is completely clean. Once it is finished rubbing, rinse the pillowcase until it is completely clean.

After rinsing, immediately dry the pillowcase until dry. As a result, the pillowcase that was originally covered in yellow stains, now looks bright again like new. The stains that were attached have also completely faded.

"The results are very clean," he concluded.

How to care for pillowcases so that the color doesn't fade quickly.

To keep the color of your pillowcase from fading quickly, you can take the following steps:

1. Wash with cold water.
Use cold water when washing pillowcases, as hot water can accelerate color fading.

2. Use a mild detergent.
Choose a detergent that is gentle and does not contain excessive bleach, because detergents that are too harsh can damage the fabric fibers and cause the color to fade.

3. Avoid drying directly under sunlight.
If possible, dry your pillowcases in the shade or use a dryer on low heat. Direct sunlight can accelerate fading.

4. Turn over and change positions.
When drying pillowcases, turn them over and change their position occasionally so that the color is evenly exposed to sunlight.

5. Use fabric softener.
Use fabric softener when washing to maintain the softness of the fabric fibers and prevent color fading.

6. Maintain water quality.
Make sure the water used for washing is not too hard, because hard water can damage the fabric fibers and accelerate color fading.

7. Avoid mixing with colored clothes.
When washing pillowcases, avoid mixing them with intensely colored clothes, as the dyes in those clothes can transfer to the pillowcase and cause the colors to fade.
