Unfortunately, not everyone's job search journey goes smoothly. In fact, many students who have graduated from college actually become unemployed. The Indonesian Minister of Manpower (Menaker), Ida Fauziyah, said that around 12 percent of unemployment in Indonesia is currently dominated by undergraduate and diploma graduates.

In a note he wrote in detail, it was revealed that he had sent around 1,306 job application letters in just 6 months. Starting from August to December 31 2023. Unfortunately, Ica has not succeeded in getting the job she dreams of.
The detailed notes Ica took show the various platforms she used to apply for jobs. Of the 1,306 applications, 365 were sent via email, 247 via Google Form and LinkedIn, and 343 via JobStreet. He also utilized various other job vacancy portals such as Kita Lulus (123 applications), Glints (83 applications), and Indeed (41 applications).
Entering 2024, Ica's persistent efforts will not stop. He continues to actively look for opportunities with the same intensity. From January to March, Ica sent 1,043 applications, divided into jobs and applications for internship positions.

Of the many applications he has submitted, several of them have contacted Ica to take part in interviews or online exams. Several large companies such as BRI, Axa Mandiri, Huawei, PLN Persero, and many others are on the list.
"Every time there is a call for an interview/test, I am always happy because I am always confident and capable of this position," wrote Ica in her upload.
He stated that every interview call provided a glimmer of hope, although in the end many ended up being 'ghosted' or not receiving a follow-up response. However, Ica still sees the positive side of her experience.
"At least I have a lot of experience," he continued.

However, it cannot be denied that this long job search process also has an emotional impact. This woman who graduated from Bandung Polytechnic faced various challenges beyond her control which made her feel like her world was collapsing.
"Incidentally, after graduation there were many things outside my control that made my world collapse, until I thought I had to be busy so that all the feelings of sadness, sadness, disgust, self-loathing would be distracted if I was busy," said Ica.
