Brilio.net - Many Indonesians are trying to improve their standard of living by working harder. Unfortunately, the low minimum wage makes it difficult for many workers to achieve a more decent life.
It is no wonder that many choose to migrate abroad to seek higher income. Japan is one of the favorite destinations because of its clearer employment system and much higher salaries compared to Indonesia.
One example is a man who shared his story through the TikTok account @cappuchiin0. He decided to work in Japan as a tomato farmer, arguing that youth will not return and living in poverty is very sad.
"Why choose to go abroad? Me: youth will not return, and poverty is sad," he said.

Unlike most migrant workers, he did not go through LPK, but instead took care of his visa directly through the Tokutei Ginou (TG) program. Now, his job is only harvesting ripe tomatoes, and most of his time he spends sitting.

Although it looks relaxed, this job still provides a fairly large income. In his upload, he revealed that his salary reaches Rp110 thousand per hour, a figure that is difficult to get for similar jobs in Indonesia.
Farmers' salaries in Japan are quite tempting, ranging from 690-1500 per hour, depending on the location and type of task. With an exchange rate of 1 Yen equal to Rp110.20, the monthly income of agricultural workers can reach 150,000 to 200,000, or around Rp16,530,000 to Rp22,040,000.

Some employers also provide additional benefits such as free accommodation, food and transportation, which help reduce living costs and allow workers to save more.
This large income allows workers to meet their living needs and still save. Although agricultural work requires good physical condition, the peaceful rural atmosphere and fresh air are a bonus for those who do it.
This man's decision to work as a farmer in Japan has caught the attention of netizens. The work that looks relaxed but still produces high salaries has also attracted attention. Many compare the comfort of working there with conditions in Indonesia.
