In her most recent work, this 33-year old Brazilian woman showcased both professions in an underwater photo shoot that aims to build awareness towards shark extinction. And guess what: she did not use any breathing equipment! As startling as it may sound, 11,000 sharks are being killed every hour around the globe! Research suggests that out of more than 470 species, only four have been involved in a significant number of fatal, unprovoked attacks on humans:The Great White, Oceanic Whitetip, Tiger, and Bull Sharks. This fact was the driving force behind Karinas campaign in educating the public on how important it is to preserve their existence because after all, they are harmless creatures.
